Collaborative Law
For a divorce with privacy, dignity, and control

What is Collaborative Law?

A process whereby both parties and counsel commit themselves to resolving their differences justly and equitably without resort or threat of resort to the courts.

collaborative atmosphere  A process that relies on an atmosphere of honesty, co-operation, integrity and professionalism geared toward the future well-being of the family.

informal divorce process  A process that engages in informal discussions and conferences to settle all issues.

compromise in divorce  A process that requires each party and each attorney to take a reasoned position on all issues. Where such positions differ, all participants use their best efforts to create proposals that meet the fundamental needs of both parties, and, if necessary, to compromise to reach a settlement of all issues.

Benefits of the Collaborative Law approach:

Spend less than you would using traditional methods of divorce resolution.

Produce an agreement better tailored to your own unique needs.

Find the process more engaging, informative, and less stressful than other methods.
