Philosophy

We believe in providing our clients with attentive, highest-quality legal services. When you retain a member of our firm, you will work directly with that partner. Your legal work will not be assigned to young associates learning how to practice law by working on your case, as is common in large commercial law firms, nor will you be billed for repeated status meetings between partners and junior associates.

Each of our partners specializes in a different area of law and dispute resolution. Our partners occasionally team up to pool specialized knowledge when our clients will benefit thereby, but we do not believe that hierarchical, multi-lawyer teams are normally the best way to provide cost-effective, high quality legal services to clients.
We do not provide services in the areas of criminal law, taxation, bankruptcy (original petitions), evictions, or estate planning, but we do maintain ongoing relationships with excellent lawyers to whom we refer our clients who have needs in those areas.
We do not provide free consultations about client matters. We do believe that trust and confidence in one's attorney is essential. For that reason, we are happy to schedule short (15-20 minute) introductory meetings for potential clients who wish to meet a partner and inquire about the lawyer's background and experience.

We represent individuals and families, and small-to-medium sized businesses. You will never compete with large corporate clients for the attention of our partners.

We are aware that our clients do not have unlimited budgets for legal counsel, and we advise clients about the cost as well as the possible benefits of various problem-solving approaches.
